Choosing your stone

Lapis lazuli bracelet

An intense royal blue, often flecked with gold-coloured pyrite. It is the most classic pairing with silver.

Malachite bracelet

Bold green with dark and light bands, so no two beads look alike.

Onyx bracelet

Polished black that works with everything, including men's styles.

Larimar bracelet

A pale, watery blue found in only one place in the world, the Dominican Republic.

Amazonite bracelet

A calm blue-green with a soft sheen, easy to wear every day.

Choosing for someone else? Think about what they already wear. Onyx suits a wardrobe of black and grey, lapis and larimar bring out blues and denim, and malachite and amazonite lift white, linen and neutrals. All five sit well next to plain silver, so a gemstone bracelet is an easy way to add colour to a silver stack.

Caring for gemstones and silver together

Stones and silver need slightly different care, so clean them gently. Wipe the silver with a soft polishing cloth and avoid silver dips, because the chemicals can damage stones. Malachite and larimar are soft stones that dislike water, acids and sunscreen, so take these bracelets off before swimming, showering or exercising. Lapis is moderately soft too. Onyx and amazonite are harder but still scratch against metal, so store each bracelet separately in a pouch.

Do the stones have meanings?

Many people choose stones for their traditional associations. Lapis has long been linked with wisdom and truth, malachite with change, onyx with strength and larimar with calm. We choose our stones for colour and pattern, and we don't make healing claims. If a stone's meaning matters to you, it's a lovely reason to give one as a gift.

Gemstone bracelets FAQ

Are the stones natural?
Yes. Every bracelet in this collection uses natural gemstones.

Is the silver real?
Yes. The silver beads and the clasp are solid hill tribe silver, not plated.

How do the bracelets fasten?
Each one closes with a silver clasp, so it's easy to put on and take off.

Can I get my gemstone bracelet wet?
Best not. Malachite and larimar in particular are soft and can dull with water, sunscreen or chlorine. Take the bracelet off before swimming or showering.

Which stone goes with everything?
Onyx. Black and silver suits any outfit and works for men and women.
